STEP UP
managing my life is so difficult. why can't i run away from IT? stay with me forever, this guilt will...
therefore, my new year's resolution: to STEP UP...
("step up" - to make markedly greater in measure or degree, or to intensify, magnify.)
stepping up to conquer future challenges:-
stepping up to conquer the dreadful 'A' levels
stepping up to maturity
stepping up to be a filial son
stepping up in the sport i love
stepping up to make good my promises
stepping up to NOT let anyone down...
LASTLY BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, stepping up to have the courage TO APOLOGISE.
stepping up to have the courage to apologise is very important to me, 'cos i realised that it just takes a single phrase to completely alter a person's life. i'm deeply remorseful, doing so much just to let go in the end. coupling it with stepping up to maturity, i hope from next year i'll be more able to deal with temptations and dealing with relationships. seriously, it just takes a simple phrase to make and break someone. hyaiz...
~
stepping up
taking the stairs of conscience
taking a step forward
and two steps back
thinking over
what i've said
that day
i can't reach the end of the stairs
i will never finish this flight of stairs
what i did
skipping a step
made me fall
3 steps back
so step up
i told myself
stand up
and make every step count.
step up.

sorry for all making you go through a hell of a emotional rollercoaster and influencing you to choose something you're regretting now. i can never make it up to you.

dreaming of angels in the snow...
it hass been a long time since i last posted. first and foremost, my computer crashed last week and i wallowed in despair for an entire week. WHY? my SONGS, PHOTOS dating all the way back to 2004, SCHOOL WORK like notes and essential stuff (MY NYAA REPORT!!) and my FOOTBALL MANAGER SAVED GAMES got destroyed! it has been a long time too since my computer died... if your computer have NEVER died on you, take it from me, the depression is just a level lower than losing a child, trust me...
damn.. my dad just reminded me that there's ONE pathetic week left before the opening of the new school term. and THAT reminds me of my incomplete holiday assignments. OH WELL!
NONETHELESS, i'm really eager to start my facil duties and have a hell of a time in orientation next year! and all my friends, see ya soon next year!

Back From the Soil, the Mud and the Murky Sea
and i'm finally back from the kayaking expedition. Never thought I would say this, but it was hell (of a time). great to be back, but i never regretted going on this expedition after stepping (or dunking my butt to by exact) into that lovely orange kayak! there's the two extremes of this expedition. the loves and the hates of this expedition i mean. the HATE; BAD sunburn on my face! the LOVE; the people i got to know on the expedition and basically the times when we were rowing.
i know they won't b seeing this, but just wanna shout out to Group 5! nice people all of you!! and Zhiwei, Nathaniel, Kenny, Joel, Natalie, tim, desmond, Pei Han, Jenny, Jade, nice knowing you all! all the rest of the expedition, nice knowing you people too!
i wont be blabbering all the minute details about what happened, that'll happen on my journal for the NYAA report. gotta hand it in to miss tay by 7 jan. maybe i'll photocopy the journal and post it here.
AND PHOTOS!!

Days Before Your Birthday...
... I've been sleeping from 3am to 3pm.
... My days have turned into nights and vice versa.
... I've been watching borrowed DVDs on my tini 14" television.
... I've eaten countless packets of chicken rice.
... I realise this is a self-centred post.
... I realise my life is not very exciting.
HAHA.

ha..ppy.. birth...day...

[[sometimes you realise that you went though so much pain just to get to something right in front of you. and when you realise it, you'll also realise that it's not worth it. it really isn't...]] ANYWAYS, this is the first birthday present i got for this year! a strawberry! yay! hahaha.

look at the cake...pink and brown... how apt.
there comes a point where you know your perfect scenario aint gonna happen, and then you take a step back and accept what you are blessed with.

Into An Apologetic Mood...
Seems like it was yesterday
When I saw your face
You told me how proud you were,
But I walked away
If only I knew what I know today
Ooh, ooh
I would hold you in my arms
I would take the pain away
Thank you for all you've done
Forgive all your mistakes
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To hear your voice again
Sometimes I wanna call you
But I know you won't be there
Oh, I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you
Some days I feel broke inside
But I won't admit
Sometimes I just wanna hide
'Cause it's you I miss
And it's so hard to say goodbye
When it comes to this, ooh
Would you tell me I was wrong?
Would you help understand?
Are you looking down upon me?
Are you proud of who I am?
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To have just one more chance
To look into your eyes
And see you looking back
Oh, I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself, oh
If I had just one more day
I would tell you how much that I've missed you
Since you've been away
Ooh, it's dangerous
It's so out of line
To try and turn back time
I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself..

A Special Dinner
By luck or not, i got to eat a really good dinner today. my mum had a booklet of vouchers which would end tomorrow so she wanted to use at least one of them. she explained to me that one of the vouchers was for a buffet dinner at Orchard Hotel and it's 1 for 1. she asked my two bros and me to go eat with her so we agreed. we couldn't miss out on such a wonderful opportunity to have such a good dinner. and moreover we seldom spend quality time with our mum alone. Dad did not go because he still had some work commitments. so off we went around 7.30.
we got seated around 7.50 and started getting our food. i started off with a plate of 'prawns on ice'. weird but true. then my mum, my bros and i carried on to...

some goody koropoke...

meeeee rebus...

a bowl of drunken prawns!! my favourite.

yummy desserts! yep, including the chocolate fondue [that black squareish thing]
and so much more... even a noisy child two tables beside us couldn't spoil our mood today. what a special dinner.

Questions
Two questions:
1. should i change my blogskin
2. should i go and work
~~~
anyway i don't know why but whenever i go out with xe i'll buy junk food to eat. haha. so yesterday, i got a packet of honey oat biscuits and some jelly beans from Candy Empire in vivocity...
gourmet beans from The Jelly Bean Factory! (GMO+ gelatine free!) really good.
Mooresssss. a lil hard, but tastes great! goes well with a cup of hot milo too!
PLUS, the view at vivocity's rooftop is great! you can see sentosa and the Merlion from there! go take a look if you're free.
this is what i call serenity...
My Ambition
Video of Tornado and Huge Hail
This WAS something like my ambition: to become a disaster reporter. it's such a noble job don't you think... =D
i think simin and audrey will remember me saying i'd love to report on a lava eruption.. so that i can roll down the hill/mountain and feel the molten lava's heat. LOL.
Void Stone
Last week was a rather lazy week. i din't do anything really, except having a lot of meetings. i hope i'll be busier for the next two months. tried to sign up for 2 OCIP outings but i don't know if i'll be selected. i'll be glad if i am. went for the facil interview. hope i get selected too.
most of the week have been spent dotaing. i guess it's my new addiction. spent many nights dotaing till late, like what i did when i was addicted to FM06.
it's quite weird really, as i previously thought that dotaing was a waste of time. maybe i was kidding myself to prevent myself from getting distracted from my studies. =p
anyways, i remember the time last year that i was really emotional because i couldn't make it up to J2. i felt really useless and bad. so i can really understand those of the guys who couldn't make it up to J2 next year... all i can say is, be sad, regret, or whatever if you must, but use this setback as a force to propel you further in whatever you do after this, 'cos it'll really drive you to achieve the things you want like never before. it really is a blessing in disguise especially for those who used to be lazy like me. it'll wake you up and make you work hard. BUT that's ultimately your choice if you want to take advantage of your failure and use it as a strengh, OR let it ruin your life. WORK HARD people! it's not the end of the road! remember, i'm speaking from my own experience so believe me alright!
The Marina Heat
yesterday belonged to the class. what a blast.
three quarters of us went for steamboat at marina bay. we agreed to meet at 530 at the mrt station. i met ben toh and boon chong along the way and we reached there around 520. as usual, the whole station was empty around that time. we waited for the rest to arrive then went to the busstop.
while walking, there's this lady from a steamboat restaurant trying to 'cope' us to eat at her restaurant. they even offered free shuttle service to and fro the place with their OWN minivan! what a way to differentiate their product. and the way, moses, jeremy and ivan cracked a few hilarious jokes with the lady like:
(not 100% accurate though)
ivan: (australian accent) errmm.. we are not going for dinner actually.. errmm.. yea..
lady: aiya wei shen mo jiang ying wen! wo bu hui ting la! gen wo jiang hua yu la! (which means aiya why speak english! i don't know how to hear! talk to me in mandarin la!)
ivan: i.. i'm from australia! i don't understand what you're saying. huh? (we burst out laughing)
lady: (gives up and walks to another group of people)
hilarious moment. then we went for dinner! dinner was okay.. we chionged meat, as usual. meat, meat and more meat. the twist was victor actually 'deep-fried' them in a pool of melted butter. i think it tasted great 'cos the guys were commenting on how sweet it was. well then, after that we went to play pool at the pool parlor nearby (i cldn't believe after so many trainings there i still dint know there was a pool parlor). pool was damn fun, with the same three quarters of the class playing altogether, cheering when the balls went into the holes and groaning and moaning when it missed the hole angonisingly. as a gauge as to how fun it was, we overshot our plan to play for an hour and played for 2 hours instead even though the rate was 8+ an hr!
we finally stopped when we all realised that if we played any longer we'll have no money to go home. but then our plan was to play lan after pool. so who cares the time, we went lan all the same (it was 1020 when we reached the lan place). and that was a blast too.
best of all, the night was completed perfectly when i managed to catch the last train home - i boarded the last train a few seconds before it left. what a night.
Almost There
so, all the H2 papers are over. what a splendid feeling huh. but hey, why do i feel a sense of deja vu?
paranoia or not, i'm not gonna rest on my laurels till i get back my results and ensure i promote this time. i know i will. i'll hate history forever if i don't. wait, if that happens, won't i be hating myself?
HISTORY(H1) to go. argh. i'm gonna overcome you, bugger. i'm gonna continue having bowling sessions with the bowling team. i'm gonna be senior to the new J1 batch. i said this before and i'll say this again - i know i will see good.
oh, if *you* are seeing this, the t-shirt wasn't washed. oh, u thought it was?
